What?? I went to Phoenix a c ouple of weeks ago and the latin flavor was every where, most people speaking spanish...
Very cool. My Dad's side immigrated from Norway...my Mom's from Sweden back in the 1890's. Pretty neat to see where the majority for these two countries went back in the day.
I think hispanics will let Appalachia be a refuge for the radicals. The rest of the country will be part of the reconquista as the map shows.

The odds are much greater at least northern Mexico will become a part of the USA----------which would be the end of both the Spanish language as well as most aspects of Hispanic culture for the area in question.

Probably, north Mexico will more likely become more like Texas today. English and Spanish will both be spoken and the merging of the cultures wii occur. As far as the US, eventually, the US will retake its identity as an English speaking multi cultural nation. (I'd love it though if we got Baja California!) If the US military has to get involved in this current civil war in Mexico, don't be suprised if Chihuahua, Nuevo Leon, Baja, and other Northern Mexican states chose to join the US though...especially if Calderon loses control.
