Raggedy - are you really in London? If so I don't see how you can judge US Citizens living on near the border of Mexico. How would you even know what that is like?
Most of us here have grown up with many hispanics (my high school is majority hispanic) - I think we know not every brown person is an illegal alien.

Bingo! The problem is that some pro-illegal apologists can't seem to comprehend such a thing.
In some of their eyes being anti-illegal = anti-legal immigration/anti-Hispanic/anti-Mexican
Being anti-illegal, pro-law and non-racist all in one is hard for some of them to understand.
In addition, if you're a Hispanic who opposes illegal immigration you may end up being branded as a self-hating Mexican or "useful idiot".

Do not let the pro illegal alien apologists get under your skin---------they know in their hearts that they are in (growing) trouble in the eyes of public opinion here in the USA.

I agree, that at least in my experience in this forum, most people who oppose illegal immigration aren't anti Mexican or anti legal immigration at all, there are a few that like to ride the anti illegal car to promote their anti mexican or anti legal agenda, but those voices are the minority.

Agreed. The majority of those who are pro-illegal that post on this forum: (a) are illegal aliens; (b) have illegal alien family members; (c) have an open borders agenda; and (d) are blinded by their racist/ethnocentric obsession and agendas.
Personally I am totally and unequivocably against illegal immigration and open borders. As a descendant of slaves, I am petitioning congress to abolish the 14th amendment, and thus the abolition of the anchor baby loop hole. Additionally, I would like to see LIMITED legal immigration continued ONLY if we go back to the original premise for legal immigration which is an employer sponsoring and being responsible for the legal immigrant that they have petitioned to come to the US to fill a job or need that NO AMERICAN is able to do. No more poverty stricken, illiterate foreign nationals looking for freebies and their version of the American Dream. Their dreams have become American taxpayer's worst nightmare. In far too many cases, being forced to live amongst illegal aliens has turned the lives of many Americans into a living hell. No American citizen should be forced to endure their 3rd world culture of crime, poverty, life altering devastation and destruction and on far too many occasions experience the death of a loved one at the hands of someone who has no right to be in this country.
The tired lie about illegals doing the job Americans won't do, is nothing more than a falsehood created by the corporate crooks, pro-illegal proponents and ethnocentric racists pushing their open borders agenda.
Our kids can no longer get jobs in fast food places because poorly educated/ lliterate illegal aliens are now doing the work that American kids and the elderly used to do before the corporate masters figured out a way to avoid e-verify and depress wages. The same can be said for American construction and factory workers.
There is no job that Americans won't do for a fair wage.
Great post as usual anti

There lies the danger of assuming internet peeps awareness just based on where they are located. For all you know I could be from Brownsville Tx but working in the UK. I'm not, but I eventually got a green card after a number of years and have lived in border states (although not towns) Texas and California to be exact. I do know this, living in Los Angeles I saw my fair share of illegals, but they never bothered me, I went about my business and they went about theirs. When I eventually moved out of Apartments and Condos and owned a home, it was Hispanics that did my gardening, Illegal I'm sure. For a number of years I had a Guatamalan lady who came in to clean my home once a week....I got her from an agency, but then she began working for me and I paid her directly, also refered her to others.
The majority I came across were all hard working people who would have probably gone the legal route, but for some it's near enough impossible and immigration tightens up every year, so they do what they have to do, many risking their lives.
I know in some areas it's affecting the quality of education your children get, which is a shame, becaue not everyone can afford private education...that's something the school authorities will have to figure out.

No, he/she is not. He or she is a useful idiot when they find and seek common ground with those who care nothing about Latino/Hispanic people or culture; when they extol the virtues of the "law" that looks to exact punishment on the illegal employee and not the illegal employer.

Fellow posters or poster? I recall the thread you are talking about, and I assumed nothing. I also only recall me, you and that poster as frequent immigration forum users. Maybe you remember others?
