I think this is a product of the wet foot dry foot policy. If someone from Cuba swims and makes it here they get to stay but if someone from Haiti makes it here they are illegal. I dont like TPS (for anyone) but Haiti is in so much horrid shape it makes Mexico and El Salvador look good. I think the government should revoke the double-standard creating wet foot dry foot policy rather than granting anymore TPS period.

Hohoho! 'Temporary', huh? That's a hot one. We have people from Central America who came here as 'temporary' refugees after Hurricane Mitch in 1998. They have never left and they never will. Each time the gov. attempts to return them to their home countries, one of these groups that specialize in helping people like them milk the situation for all it is worth, intervenes and they end up staying for another year. The 'temporary' refugees from Haiti will never leave either. I have no idea why that cretin in charge of the Department of Lies About Homeland Security even bothers to put the word 'temporary' in there. She fools no one.
