Hispanic Democrats will have their first West Wing meeting with President Obama on Wednesday morning to discuss immigration reform, according to Democratic sources.
The meeting is the first face-to-face sit-down between Obama and the Congressional Hispanic Caucus (CHC) since the president was sworn-in. Some in the CHC have recently expressed frustration that Obama has not talked more about immigration in his first two months in office.
Immigration reform is front-and-center on the group’s agenda.
CHC is eager to hear the president’s ideas and proposals for tackling immigration reform, not only as it relates to a comprehensive reform bill that could provide a pathway to citizenship for millions of undocumented workers but also as it relates to rolling back Bush administration policies of raiding workplaces and detaining and deporting thousands of illegal workers.

Well!!! I can understand why they are upset that President Obama has not done more to promote amnesty, I mean solve the illegal immigration situation in his first two months in office. After all, it is not like he has any other major problems to deal with or anything.
People are losing jobs left and right, home being foreclosed in record numbers, the economy is circling the drain, etc. and all they can think about is what they want. No thought is given to the fact that other segments of society might be in crisis-mode or that the President may have more pressing issues to deal with than giving amnesty to their illegal brethren. Good Lord.

I am sure it is. They think of nothing except how to get additional goodies for their 'grupo'.

Agreed. But you do realize that once they cross the border that magically they become "special". Or at least they delusionally think so.
They need to take their tired, tax draining, cowardly butts back across the border and tell the president of Mexico their problems.
There should also be a noticeable increase in amnesty peddlers on this forum as the Obama administration starts to gear up to push shamnesty. You know, soften everyone up with sob stories and about how illegals built America and are just here for a better life and how the economy would collapse if they were kicked out, etc.
These politicians of course have no job future if it's up to American citizens to elect them in. They are nothing but race panderers who require many many illegals coming and voting them in. A political career of course is very appealing and it gives their own nation of Mexico more power over the USA. I would suspect many of them are on the payroll of the Mexican government.

Massive emigration has not benefitted Mexico. If it did, then you'd see fewer illegals coming because the remittance money would have built up infrastructure and there would be jobs finally.
It's the opposite. Now they are demanding "family reunification" so that they can bring their many relatives over -- they don't want to have to actually sponsor them which is already a process that allows family reunification, because that could require some financial responsibility for their immigrant.
My 'White guilt' has died---------and, I am a Liberal in quite a few areas.
What was the tipping point for me was seeing those scoundrels flying the Mexican flag at the illegal 'immigrants rights' marches back in May 2006.
Insolent loser criminals.
