Table 1-2. Population and Gross Domestic Product (GDP) by Region: 1980-2007

by showing this data it is proven that the west and the south has surpass
the northeast, midwest economically. so it clearly shows the
benefit of having hispanics. keeping america competiteve in wages

It is estimated that in 1980 the gdp of northeast and midwest composed 46.87% of the american gdp now in the year 2007 it only composed 41.12%. While the south and west composed in 1980 53.07% of the economy and in the year 2007 jump to 58.85 at thi rate
by the year 2037 the west and south would form a stronger percentage of americas gdp taking it to almost 64.29% percent of the economy
making the northwest and midwest weaker in elections and proposols for federal investments.

I wander were all the stimulus package money is going? i could only guess

State-by-state stimulus funding - JSOnline

Now if the west is the problem? and cause the recession.

why is the northeastern states receiving more stimulus money? per capita? wouldnt logic take the money to hardest hit areas? and that the west and the south dont really need it because they have been more productive?

WONDERFUL news!.....I'm sure that Asians, (both legal and illegal)....whites (both legal and illegal)..and blacks (both legal and illegal) ALSO contribute to the American economy.

Thanks for the eye-opener.

you have a point but in a competitive world you have to attrack investments actually by having lower wages, so explain to Me why the west grew 89% per capita lower than the other three regions, but more per gdp? see this where youre not getting it oh well.

I don't know why you people have to lump all Hispanics and illegal aliens together all the time, it offends me that we are thought of as foreigners when they're are many of us that have families that have been here for many generations!

Agreed and neither do the rest of Americans. Those of us who are against illegal immigration consistently ask the same question and have yet to receive a legitimate response as to why they continue to perpetrate the criminal farce of lumping themselves with hispanic Americans. Unfortunately, the ethnocentric racist groups and a few legal hispanics do support their cause and made it known during the marches of '06.

Illegal aliens and their supporters do it simply because it fictitiously inflates their numbers and they wrongfully believe it lends credibility to their cause, namely demanding amnesty.

They delusionally believe that if they lump you all together, the phrase power in numbers legitimates their illegal presence in the US.

Exacty, the charts show Latinos, not Illegals contribute. Legal Latinos are not the majority filling the emergency rooms and schools for free.

One of the most 'hateful' expressions, to me, is the term 'legal Hispanics'..as if Hispanics are normally assumed NOT to be legal. It's like saying a 'law-abiding Italian'....or a 'sober Irishman'...or a 'black raised by both parents'. Hateful, nasty term....and one particularly upsetting in my situation.
