L.A. grocery chain owner convicted in racketeering case

Another point, I don't need to see the actual Illegals working. Having many say they were is good enough. Just like many articles about arrests and mention no dl or passport I don't need to touch their actual document to wage a bet they are here illegally. This is not a jury trial nor someone trying to get elected being PC. If they can't speak English, can't produce a DL, passport or green card I'm convinced they are here illegally. It is their burden of proof not ours.

Well said. My wife a legal immigrant was told that she must carry her green card with her at all times... And she does.
Those who don't have made the choice to be scrutinized.

Way to spin it (your title). This man did far more then use illegal labor. Murder for hire?

LOS ANGELES – The founder of a Los Angeles-area grocery chain who appeared to be an up-by-the-bootstraps success story was convicted yesterday in a federal racketeering case involving solicitation of murder, bribery and many other crimes.

This is the immigration forum not the "murder" forum. If you find that forum feel free to start your own thread.

Back on topic - This chain was part of what we talk about is an underground economy fueled by Illegal Immigrant workers. I'd like to see his tax returns and see if he was paying this scab labor under the table.
