Do you honestly think it's that low? Amnesty would guarantee an additional 12-25 million blue voters.
Remember too that Obama will have to answer to a bunch of blue dog Democrats as well..............they are not your usual 'lib' types-----------think moderate Republicans in outlook.
I doubt that Obama or the Congressional Democrats would grant Amnesty. Doing so at this point, would be political suicide, and would almost guarantee a repeat of the 1994 Republican Revolution in the Congress and Senate as well as guarantee Obama as a One-Term President.
With the current recession, granting Amnesty would rightfully create a massive upheavel that would make the April 15th Tea Parties pale in comparison..
That said, one never knows though with people like Nancy Pelosi who would have a vested-interest in legalizing illegals as she owns a vinyard in Napa, CA that is staffed by illegal aliens. However, if these aliens were legalized that Pelosi may lose some of her cheap labor and would have to find some other source..

Their will be huge points to any amnesty, learn English (subtract 30%), pay a fine, (subtract 10%) , show proof of time here (subtract 20%), it will take a toll.
Depends if Obama thinks he needs the votes in 2012 from new citizens, and he probably will need them.
Remember too that one needs to be in the USA legally for 5 years prior to applying for citizenship--------which may render moot any Obama attempt for a new pool of voters.
