Suffice to say: here in Arizona we are making it a living hell for illegal aliens----------they are scattering as we speak.

Remember we also have a lot of angry ex-Californians who do not want this state to go down in flames courtesy of those insolent criminal losers from Mexico, etc.
We agree a lot more than you understand. The border needs to be secured by the federal government. Arizona & California can not handle such a huge problem. But once a person is in America, he\she needs to be given basic services. The "swine flu" is a great example. If people are not provided medical care than a major epidemic could occur. Children need to be in school & cared for. These issues are not debatable.

I am frustrated that Bush did nothing to deal with the border & Obama hasn't said much about it either [since he is overwhelmed to so many other problems]. We must close the border but those who manage to get into the country must be dealt with in a humane fashion.

I concur but only before the illegals are subjected to the fullest extent of prosecution. After that, they should seek for said services in their own homelands.

I concur as well. Those who do enter illegally must be dealt with humanely but they must also face the legal consequences of their actions.

Fair enough.

I have no issue rendering emergency medical care to illegals; just that once stabilized...........they need to be deported.

In fact: on another thread in this Forum, I read a piece about an illegal alien from Nicaragua being refused basic emergency care in Mexico and the man wound up losing his leg------------that made me very angry.

As for the school age children (if here illegally); they need to be housed/educated, simply detain 'em in camps prior to deportation-----------much like what Australia does.

I agree with the op. Enough already with the illegal immigrants who commit crimes and get away with it!!! The Federal Gov needs to enforce the law and deport these people.

Just curious,Bear, what is Arizona doing about this situation that other states are not?We all know about Joe Arpaio, but while Governor Janet did not seem to be all that concerned.

Nappy (our derogatory term for Janet Napolitano) in no longer our governor (thank God).

Remember we also have our employer sanctions law which makes it a crime to knowingly hire an illegal alien.

Also; since 3-4 Phx police officers were murdered by illegal aliens; suffice to say, many a 'legal' trick in the book is being used to torment suspected illegals hence many fleeing Arizona.

The economy here is also bad and; needless to say, illegals are being let go first since they have no recourse and cannot collect unemployment with fraudulent SSN's.

Earlier today I went through a heavily Hispanic part of Phx and it seemed that 20-30% of the businesses that cater to that clientele have closed down.
