I've got grey hair and am nearly as old as dirt and from what I've seen there have been illegals pouring into the USA for decades.

Why are Americans suddenly bent out of shape? This has been going on for a long time. Why the sudden outrage? WHERE YA BEEN?

I think they need to get a handle on illegals but they should've started years ago.

The fact that you are VERY late to the party doesn’t mean the party just started. The outrage has existed for years, but has escalated due to myriad factors, including, the blatant refusal of our government to enforce our laws; the disgraceful coddling of foreign criminals; the obscene financial burden forced on taxpayers; and the in-your-face arrogance of ingrate illegals. The fact that you consider our outrage a “sudden” phenomenon, speaks volumes.

Where have YOU been?

Fact is illegals already have softly taken over this country. They have laws & politicians to protect them & encouragement for an open border from elected leaders as well as sanctuary cities.

Americans are the enemy of the state if we even act or enforce the law.

Illegals were not "pouring" into our country for decades. It has only accelerated in the past 10 years. It is just like having a small cut that suddenly turns into a raging infection. We aren't suddenly bent out of shape. It became critical back in the Bush years and it was addressed back then also.

It has to do with illegal immigration in that it could actually solve our "illegal" problem while generating revenue that can lower our tax burden and other public and private sector jobs. By requiring an inspection fee or fine, the several States of the Union could be generating their own sovereign revenue and would need to rely less on grants in aid by the federal government. Some of that revenue could be used by the several States to provide for their several, but general, welfare. Eliminating state poverty in the several States of the Union can be considered a States' right. Establishing federal poverty metrics could providing a basis for the federal government to pay the debts of any States providing for their general welfare by establishing those federal metrics in the several States, for the general government of the Union.

As Mankind becomes more liberal, they will be more apt to allow that all those who conduct themselves as worthy members of the community are equally entitled to the protections of civil government. I hope ever to see America among the foremost nations of justice and liberality.
- George Washington, 1st US President

Rightful liberty is unobstructed action according to our will within limits drawn around us by the equal rights of others. I do not add 'within the limits of the law' because law is often but the tyrant's will, and always so when it violates the rights of the individual.
- Thomas Jefferson, 3rd US President
Why do you believe more in the coercive use of force of the State, rather than Commerce to solve our socio-economic problems?

A warfare-state economy requires more expensive forms of socialism than does a welfare-state economy.

Which laws is the federal government not enforcing? The federal drug war seems to be enforced more than it should in those state that have decriminalized drugs. The several States have no Constitutional basis to care if someone is from out of State or from out state.

How many "illegals" have been voted into office by the People? Only our elected representatives to government have the power to enact laws that affect everyone in our republic.

Why do you object to solving our illegal problem through Commerce instead of the coercive use of force of the State?

No one has said that illegals are in office. If they are committing fraud by voting in our elections they are voting in those who are sympathizers of them like their own ethnic kind for example or the party who keeps promising amnesty.
