America needs to stop being the "hand-out" country. We have forgotten our own and help everyone else. What about American starving children? What about American cities that are flooding? What about the AIDS in America?
Come on. At what point do we fix ourselves, first? If we fall, so will the rest of the world. If we do not take care of ourselves, then no one else will.

Those who don't have one of these visas (unless you want to give the entire world's poor one) will come illegally hoping to find a job just like they do now. If you are going to reply please do so in laymen's terms as I don't think anyone in here is grasping your remarks like this one.

"I have been stating how a market friendly work visa would end our illegal problem on a permanent basis through Commerce instead of the coercive use of force of the State".
You are missing the point about a work visa. It is also not a job visa; it does not guarantee a job, but simply the legal right to work in US markets. It doesn't matter if any jobs are available since the legal right to work in the US is distinct from an employment relationship. In other words, it doesn't matter if six billion people buy a work visa; except for revenue generation purposes. The private sector is under no obligation other than that which is legal and customary in the several States of the Union. We have our Ninth Amendment, a federal at-will employment doctrine, and state at-will employment laws to consider.

A market friendly work visa would end our illegal problem on a permanent basis through Commerce instead of the coercive use of force of the State.

They can't take all of them; besides, the more that want a work visa the more potential revenue we can generate. I bet you won't complain if we could lower our tax burden as a result. Besides, foreign labor could be subsidizing native US labor. We could be going to school, learning new and more marketable vocations or simply pursuing Happiness in a market friendly and tax paying manner. All we really need, is the opportunity to be more competitive on a global basis.

Our problem is we haven't found a way to be moral and ethical enough to simply bear true witness to our social contract and Constitution. Our Founding Fathers left us specific instructions on how to secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our posterity, by simply bearing true witness to a document that claims to be supreme Law of the Land.

More than likely they will collect and far more then they pay into the system. Since they are low wage earners with dependents, they pay very little into the system if any at all.

I asked you this yesterday and you haven't replied yet. Please pick A or B.

So (A) are you saying they could obtain this visa in their home country and come here with it and stay in our country until a job is offered to them or that (B) a job has to be offered first before they can come with this visa to take the job?

If it is (A) you are proposing then how do they support themselves until they are offered a job using this visa? How do we keep track of those who don't renew it and yet remain in this country? 40% of illegals in our country are visa overstayers now.

I don't see why "guest workers" should be allowed to bring their whole family with them anyway, as it's a TEMPORARY visa
