German Immigration??? (NAFTA, illegal immigration, law, immigrate)

Some question.
Why did USA allowed the German and not the Mexican?
When the German was immigration to USA, was it the same thing, like today with Mexican?
What did they do? Was the American also against the Germans? or what?
I guess not.

What is the diffrent between the Gemrna and the Mexican immigration?

We have oodles of legal Mexican immigrants over here which obtained their citizenship the right way. We are only concerned with the influx of illegals in our country and the horrific damage being caused by many of them.

My German ancestors that came to the states in the early and middle 1900s did so the proper way and legally and as soon as they could, they became citizens. They did not use false identification and live off the government, etc.

I really don't understand your concern. If I remember correctly, aren't you from Germany? Do you want to become a citizen of the U.S.? That would be great as long as you do it the proper way.

I hope someone will come along and answer your post better than I can.

Hi Jones/S, I wish you all the success in your design career in the U.S., a legal one. I just spoke to my father of German descent, and his father came over here from Germany by ship to Elis Island as did other Europeans in that era...'legally' and mostly 'poor'. My father was from a German community in N. Dakota and he learned English soon as he started school and his parents then also learned English in earnest. Immigrants back then loved the U.S., wanted to be 'Americans', felt grateful to the U.S., and learned English quickly to fit into the American way of life The Germans were accepted well in the U.S. when they came here. Germans played by the rules, were very clean, knew right from wrong, had integrity...as did other Europeans and other few nationalities that came to U.S.
Nearby where my father grew up in N. Dakota, was Lawrence Welk (beloved famous band leader) growing up, and he kept quiet to himself in public while playing in a band (when young) because he was embarrased not to speak English that well, so then he learned it quite well! Today, immigration 'still' requires that people immigrate legally and this includes So. Americans, but very unfortunately many millions of So. Americans and mostly Mexicans have sneaked across our desert borders for almost 30 years knowing they were breaking our laws, and many were caught multiple times only to sneak across again! and they also pay men much money to drive them across the border hiding in vehicles. These So. Americans/Mexicans became very interested in coming to America when U.S. NAFTA was established. NAFTA paid them better wages inside Mexico by American companies. NAFTA started the illegal invasion as it's called.
Then in mid 80's millions of illegals were given amnesty here, causing another big invasion of illegals with women coming to have their 'anchor' babies here, and they knew there were countless millions of anchor babies here before the amnesty. The Mexican presidents have greatly ecouraged illegals to come here and still do, unbelievable but true. The Mexican government/police are known for continual corruption over the years, and many of the illegals that have come over here have a wide range of morality problems and this is now happening more in Americans (drugs?) but not to the extent in illegals from So. America...I don't know why since they say they are Christians. The great numbers of illegals over the years are putting many U.S. citizens out of their homes with a high cost of living and lowered job wages, it's a real nightmare in states that border Mexico like Los Angeles, CA., but numbers growing in all states. Our government needs to reverse illegal immigration and send them back.

Yes, I am from German, but I got allready my citizen. Because my father is american and my mother from germany. I have both. american and german citizen.

The people coming over the southern border are not immigrants. They're invaders. When Germans came here, particularly in the 1850's and onward, they came to help contribute positively to the U.S., not take it over.
