Anchor or not, 1st/2nd generation U.S. citizens are as much of a citizen as those who you refer of an "actual" American citizen. Those "anchors" are your equals ar far as citizenship goes.

That problem is the fact that we have a huge underclass of poor, mostly unskilled & uneducated folks (and most of them white). Call 'em trailer trash, poor whites, "red-staters", whatever, but historically they've usually managed to get along, mostly through manufacturing & industrial jobs, and migrating to wherever the work was. But that type of work has largely disappeared now and been replaced by a service economy and agricultural labor, none of which interests this traditionally white underclass group, who have since become equally skilled at the 'mechanics' of unemployment, workmens comp., HUD assistance, welfare, SSI and the rest.

Meanwhile, immigrants have been showing up and slowly replacing them, and these newcomers are not only willing to do the menial jobs (and for less), they've also been acquiring a reputation among employers, landlords, and other businesses as being more dependable, less hassle, and generally having a better work ethic. .
WOW, you've almost described the slaves of a hundred years ago. Congratulations. Work ethic? Being desperate to survive or dodging deportation is not an "ethic" it is a survival skill. Hookers have that same "ethic".

Hey, better a hardworking hooker, than some deadbeat sucking on the welfare teat and claiming to be a "Real Amur-ican".

So do you just want to trade insults, or are you trying to say that you're here to defend the entitlement rights of the lazy, welfare-collecting "scumbag" type of AMERICAN CITIZENS too?
And I know quite a few Americans also of Italian lineage who flat detest illegals.

So naturally there's now this huge resentment by alot of those folks that have always traditionally felt "entitled" to the low end of the economy & the job market, directed against all those who are now competing against them. In many ways, this is similar to the Irish complaining about the newer Italian immigrants (working for less) during the turn of the century.

So we can argue about "walls" & "the law" all day, but perhaps we should also remember that this country has prospered by incorporating the best from each wave of newcomers, and by rewarding those who have been willing to work hard, not by using "immigration" to artificially protect the "entitlement" privileges of those "citizens" who don't.
Wow! It seems that you have a deep resentment towards Americans, you may want to relocate to another country .. seriously! Seems that you are living in the wrong place.. Maybe look into relocating to Mexico since you are boasting about their wonderful "work ethic" and based on your post would love to have Mexican people as your neighbors..

Obviously, these "welfare white trash" people that you write about apparently HAD jobs at one time or another and have been replaced by illegal aliens.. It sounds to me that you are someone that employs Illegal Aliens and are defending your right to do so..
