My fellow Californians, itís time to take on an even more taboo subject for debate today. A special warning to all liberals reading this: Now may be a good time to fire up the medicinal marijuana because issues of race and illegal immigration are about to be discussed, and we all know how painful honest discussions of free thought and individual personal opinion can be for you.

The financial burden of providing social services in the state of California as a result of illegal immigration from Mexico is absolutely staggering. Itís enormous. Yet no republican or democrat state official is willing to go on record and put their job on the line to spearhead a drastic reform of the statesí Ďanchor babyí policies. I have heard California politicians propose every kind of budget cut and tax increase imaginable. However, social services are never a priority on the Ďfix it listí.

East Bay Republican Examiner: California: Mexico's maternity ward

The same can be said for the rest of America. It's long past time to end the abuse of the 14th Amendment.

We are over 20 Billion in the turlet after Tuesday's elections and it appears the coddling of Illegal Aliens and their practice of cluster bombing our Hospitals with babies is coming to a financial screeching halt. You might yet get your birthing for free but all the rest of the freebies are about to be yanked off the table.

I saw Ahhnold on the news yesterday. After listening to his "proposals" to solve your budget woes, if I lived in California I would have fled in the middle of the night.

Not a single word about the massive drain known as illegal aliens squatting in and destroying all things California.

Much as I try to steer clear of the angry rhetoric, and the 'bashing', even the most moderate of 'thinkers' has to agree on a few points....and one of these is that TEN PERCENT of a nation....ANY nation...when it's currently living in ANOTHER nation....is a "big deal". When the 'ten percent' come from a fairly LARGE country, with a LARGE population, that's a BIGGER thing. And when a large part of this occurs ILLEGALLY, then that's an even BIGGER thing.....and that's what we've got going here. This is more than just a 'pesky' issue. This is approaching something pretty much unique in the world, especially during peacetime.

It's not just a few grumpy curmudgeons, nut cases, nativsts, doomsayers, or racists spouting off...this really IS a "big thing". And people are starting to recognize that.

I totally agree. It is beyond comprehension how he would expect the citizens of California to eat yet another massive tax increase. Adding fuel to his fire he had the nerve to request an additional bailout (aside from the 80M California is slated to receive) from the federal government (aka the rest of America) as well.

Actually, it was ARNOLD who fled..he left the state (for DC) and apparently didn't come back until this morning. Can you blame him? These 'propositions' were SO outrageously transparently 'crooked' that even HE couldn't face the 'wrath of the voters' until things cooled off....

He really needs to repatriate back to his homeland and take Maria and the rest of the Kennedy's with him.

Itís a travesty that we are paying for these births. If they canít afford to give birth, they shouldnít get pregnant. How can they afford to raise a child, if they canít even afford to pay maternity fees? We are stuck paying for at least 18 years of freebies -- and they never stop at one baby, they keep having them. Itís sickening.

Just think if they actually had functioning minds, perhaps your thought might at least cross one of them. Sickening is an understatement.

Thank you for posting.. The SF Examiner is a fairly liberal publication, it's great to see a columnist speaking the brutally honest truth about California's financial mess..
