Let me guess, they are just hard workers looking for a better life by doing the work that the native born Greeks won't do right?

Thank God we are still allowed to have borders and border control unlike the "European Union".

Thanks for the confirmation Synopsis and Benicar. I'm relieved to know that none of us who feels this way are simply losing it.

Sovereignty means nothing to anyone anymore. All the wars, death, sacrifice, and for what? For a one world union? An oppressive governmental institution? Sacrifice of our native citizens for the benefit of another country?

You now people say you never know what you have until you loose it, and I can say, honestly, that on this Memorial Day weekend, I not only cry for the great lives lost in service of our country, but that I weep for knowing that a large part of those lives may prove to have been lost in vain.

People with great minds and incredible wisdom set it place a Constitution for a sovereign nation that they felt could, if left unmolested, stand the test of time and continue to be the foundation of a great nation. It has endured thru many world wars, a civil war, and a great depression. I do not know, however, if it can withstand a passive invasion from foreign countries that is changing the very landscape of our great nation.

If we have no identity, no borders, no true citizenship how can we claim to be a nation? We may maintain the name USA, but with out an identity we will no longer be what so many people fought and died for. I'm afraid that the best out of my generation may have died on the battle fields of Iraq and Afghanistan.
I am beginning to wonder if the rest of my generation can see what we are loosing before it is totally lost. I know I can see it.
Sounds like one of my posts. When a society loses respect for itself, it loses the respect of others, too. The Third World is a 'tough neighborhood', and there's little patience for vacillating, self-doubting 'wimps'....which is what ANY nation looks like which lets itself be "used".

'Western guilt' is a corrosive thing, and it can be 'smelled a mile away'. We suffer from it, and the whole world senses this. Perhaps it's an inevitable part of the 'progession' of mankind...from Third-World tryanny, to self-motivated 'self-government', to a HEALTHY concern for our 'neighbors', and on to an increasingly unreasonable 'guilt' for the plight of others, and finally to self-doubt, societal decline, and eventually, irrelevance.

As I said before, the great nations of the 'West' (those with a decent 'shot' at life for ALL their citizens) may not 'go away'....they'll just cease to be 'great'. We won't be 'overcome' by others, we'll just gradually step aside. And that will be a pity, because we'll have 'done it to ourselves'. History will judge us harshly, I'm afraid.....

Indeed it should. I read your post on western guilt and researched it myself, to my own dismay of course. I read a lot of your post. I like your writing style and your content.

You have nailed the root cause of everything going on in America and brought it to our attention. It is much appreciated.

Two things here:

First - The whole point of this riot is all because an officer defaced a Koran. Because of this, so far 14 people have been injured, 46 arrested, and dozens of cars smashed. Hundreds are rioting.

Second - At least this website did use the words 'illegal immigration' in its article.

Even in Greece, huh?
