They were arrested and then, what do you know, they returned to work the next day. Just like magic! No talk of deportation or anything of the sort.
Coexist? LOL....I don't think so.
They can coexist with other people all they want back home.
The utter gaul of illegals to suggest that they "need to work" and that it is "important" and "essential" for AMERICANS to give into their demands (or even to suggest that we compromise with their criminal selves) to peacefully "coexist"!
Ya Know.. We have millions of Unemployed LEGAL American Citizens that "Need to Work", why should Illegal Aliens continue to receive preferential treatment?.. They seem to have many more rights, privileges and benefits than Legal U.S. Citizens and LEGAL immigrants seem to have..
One of my good friends learned a hard lesson. He used Illegals to match the roof on his house. Right when he wanted to sell someone ratted him out. He had to dismantle the roof, get permits and have it built to code plus pay a huge fine.
We need to learn to co-exist? No we don't. They don't belong here. We don't all go to Mexico, take their jobs, rape their country, live in their houses and expect them to learn to co-exist.
Question: Do you know the difference between an American co-existing with illegals in our country and Mexicans co-existing with illegals in THEIR country?
Answer: In Mexico, the illegals would be shot on sight, no questions asked.
Mexico, or any other country would never allow their land to be invaded on by illegal people and take it laying down.
Well that is the history of America isn't it? (Just to name one country) People (Europeans) leaving their home countries in droves to find work and opportunity and kicking the natives to the curb and taking over their land and resources. History repeats itself in varying forms, just saying.

As PURE THEORY, your observation is correct...somebody (Europeans) once came here, and stole this land from the Indians. Now, centuries later, it can be said (with a little imagination) that a NEW group of people are showing up, and seem determined to 'steal' this land from the Europeans, the descendants of those who ORIGINALLY stole it.
In THEORY, if you're an observer from Mars, and have absolutely NO personal stake in this situation either way, your above observation is technically correct. If you're NOT from Mars, but live here, and are a part of the USA today, in 2009, then you may have some further explaining to do.
It all gets very complex...particularly for me, married as I am to an Indian, whom I SUPPOSE you could say, had the whole continent stolen from "her"..(?)....Oddly, SHE, (my wife) seems far more comfortable with toady's 'status quo' than many of the 'Europeans' on this forum who feel so guilty....and she CERTAINLY feels no obligation at ALL to recent folks who seem determined to cite some sort of vague 'kinship' with HER (as 'original inhabitants of the continent'), as a ploy to justify their new-found "right" to immigrate here, now, at this late date, from elsewhere on the continent.
If all these 'indigenous Americans' from points south were so interested in the USA, why didn't they migrate here 1000 years ago? Maybe because they didn't give a 'hoot' about it until it became the USA....and then, it was too late. Those who were HERE when the USA was founded, today are American citizens. Those who were NOT here then, today are foreigners. And foreigners have no "claim" on a country.
As I said, all this is OK as a pure excercise in 'theory', and in 'what if...'; But in real life, as 'countries' are understood in today's world, the citizens of a country have rights inherent in the fact that they ARE citizens..while non-citizens of a country have NO such 'claims' on it. The USA is a modern, 'artificial' society; its privileges and rights are conceived along the lines of who is, and who is not, a 'citizen', not on which ethnicity or 'group' has been here the longest.

Not always.
Oftentimes the invaders wind up losing and being tossed out if not imprisoned/killed first.
Hitler and Tojo were two examples of the above less than 65 years ago.
Flip side: the Hispanics came to what is now Mexico and subjugated the Aztecs, etc. And the latter beat up on weaker Indians groups as well earlier in history.

I think he's done using Illegals.
He kind of got what he deserved don't you think? That is a hard way to learn a lesson but oh well.
Sadly much poverty in Latin America is self inflicted through high birth rates. Hard to feel sorry for people when they refuse to use common sense.
That's true. Things might be a bit tougher in some of those countries, but people still have personal choices they make. They can decide to stay in school, at least countries like Mexico have public schools and in fact mandatory but people choose to disregard them.
People can decide to become educated, to learn job skills and they can decide to wait until marriage and a job to begin their families and they can decide that instead of having 18 children in 20 years, that they can have fewer and concentrate on raising them right, help educate and of course support them.

History doesn't exactly repeat itself because the days of homesteading vacant land are over, there is no more vacant land available for homesteading. The days of the Industrial Revolution where tons of cheap foreign labor was wanted to fill the factories and assembly lines are also over. Jobs are now outsourced to third world nations, there is no need for massive levels of cheap workers to fill factories here.
The days of kicking the natives to the curb and taking over their land, jobs, and resources unfortunately are not over. And you bring up a good point -- this is exactly what this is about, a takeover of our country. You said it well.

The odds are much greater that we (the USA) will subjugate the rest of Mexico (or at least its present northern states) before we will fall to that broken, disintegrating country.
Greed is what will keep fueling the illegal moneytrain.
Until you stop greedy Americans from hiring illegals in order to save a buck, this problem will never end.
The best course of action for the immediate future is within your local gov level.
You have more control, crying to the feds will get you nowhere.
There definitely needs to be some sort of organization created to attack illegal immigration on a local level. Put something together and deputize local residents who on a strictly volunteer status can then go out to the streets and begin enforcement, whether it be direct, or detaining until proper authorities arrive, or gathering information on illegal immigrant housing, places of business, whatever.
And lock up anybody who even thinks of muttering the race card. Shut the hell up.
I'm sick and tired of all these groups running around calling anyone who comes down on illegal immigration "racists". Shut your mouth and go find another more useful hobby. I don't give a rats ass what color your skin is, if you're here illegally, YOU ARE A CRIMINAL. End of story. Mexican, Canadian, Ireland, I don't care. If you're not paying your fair share and contributing positively to society, then you should be locked up or better yet, thrown the hell out.
And stop with the "PC" crap. If you can't produce documentation, then they should immediately throw you the hell out and let you sort out the problem if you've been falsely accused. Don't jail them, don't hold them while trying to verify information, send them immediately to a processing station that would deport them back to their native country immediately, or where ever the hell they came from.
Whatever. The whole issue is a waste of time. It's probabally never gonna change, ever. At best we could probabally hope for it to not get too much worse than it is now.
