It’s still fraud. The Supreme Court may have given them a green light to continue committing ID theft, but it doesn’t change the fact that they knowingly used an ID that was NOT theirs. I’d like to see them have a fraud case dismissed, because even an idiot knows their own name.

Well, the prosecutors were not/are not adding fraud to the cases, just I.D. theft, wonder why? Maybe because they cannot meet their burden of proof.

Wonder what legal tool they will try to use next? And how long will it take to get over ruled by the Supreme Court.

Otherwise, you ARE supporting illegal immigration.
????
There are too many layers to know for sure who is using illegal labor, you cannot blame the consumer for buying something on a store shelf.

One good point is that maybe there should be that way we could boycott all products produced by IA scab labor.

So finding legal loopholes to commit crimes is acceptable to you? Would you be so supportive if your children are victims of identity theft and can't get student loans or other things they need because their credit is ruined?

How does working with my/my future children's SSN number ruins the SSN holder's credit? The judge decision was not made to shelter people (IAs or not) from getting charged with ID theft if they used it for credit purposes. Since you not only need the SSN of the individual but other information as well to get credit, they can prove that you knew it belong to someone else.

I would much prefer they all be given their own numbers, so the don't have to use someone else's. If they want to steal from me, then they can be prosecuted like anyone else, they are stealing. If they want to work and happen to use my SSN without my name on it, I don't really care.

Also, if you are so worried about your ID being stolen take proactive steps yourself, don't wait until you are screwed and then blame IA/ the government. Companies like LifeLock exist for that very same reason.

How many illegals file tax returns? So if(when) they don't, and by their wages owe taxes, to who's SSN are those tax liens applied to? If they do that to you or your children you "don't really care"?
