Napa Valley wine country in California dedicates one of their wine bottles called "Veladora" to immigrants regardless of legal status. 100% of their profits are for immigrant health care. The label illustrates a beautiful picture in black and white of the virgin of Guadalupe, representative of Mexican culture.

Sure they cater to them. Who else will pick their grapes to keep the business going and their alcoholism? The services are only for those immigrants that work in the fields. It does not benefit other workers.
Instead of a publicity stunt, perhaps the vintners should pay a living wage to their workers that included health benefits. Of course if they did that, they may actually have legal immigrants and citizens doing the work.
It’s about time the slave owners started providing for their workforce. Now, if we could only get the other illegal employers to stop burdening the taxpayers. If these greedy bast*rds insist on employing slave labor, they should be required to provide for ALL of their needs -- at their expense, not the taxpayers.

You know I have always been curious as to why it is that the most ardent pro illegal immigration supporters seem to be OK with the illegals themselves being exploited? Are you that dependent on your boxed chardonnay? Cheap strawberries? Inexpensive kitchen remodel?
Frankly I find it disgusting and dehumanizing and yes, even racist to be fine with one group of people living in perpetual penury so that you can save a few bucks.
Hey, in the wineries defense, they need illegal labor. I worked on a winery when I was younger, the owners only netted $11 million the year I was there and were building a new mansion.
There is no way these wineries can afford to pay a decent wage to an American, it's not in the budget. Illegal labor is the only way they can survive.
