Oakland to offer identification cards for illegal immigrants - Los Angeles Times

"The City Council votes in favor of the photo IDs, saying the cards will give illegal immigrants easier access to services, improve their civic participation and encourage them to report crimes."

Where are services for the AMERICAN citizens, hmmm Will we get a special card, too, then, when we don't have a job...for "services"? Oh, that's right, I was born here, so I am not entitled; gotcha.

I am really disappointed...how can this decision can even be made?

Common sense.

Well, if this indeed takes place, the illegals of Oakland will still be illegal....but at LEAST they will no longer be 'undocumented'. It's GOT to be better than a jab in the eye...right?...

Default I guess

...it just seems weird, to have these kinds of tax-payer funded accommodations for people who have come into America illegally, at a time when we have so many citizens hurting, homeless, living in tents or cars in our major cities (Santa Barbara even), for crying out loud. I dunno...it makes me sad that we do so little here for any Americans anymore, especially the working-class, who are struggling so much now...big sigh...

Maybe, in the best case scenario, the illegal immigrants we helped will maybe save the U.S. I can dream...
