Default Families split as deportations grow

http://www.detnews.com/article/20090...ortations-grow

Quote:
Maria Mena and her husband, Felipe Angelus, were driving home from the grocery store with their three children on April 30, 2008, when federal agents brandishing guns surrounded the car, ordered Angelus out, handcuffed him and led him away.

It was the last time the children saw their father.
Part of me is very glad to see deportation policies actually being enforced even when the people have children. That said, I can't help but feel bad for the kids. I think we should all remember that their circumstances are their parents' fault and not anyone else's.

Point well taken.

Although; Maria Mena had no business messing around with a criminal in the first place. Either she and their children move to Angelus's nation or she will be guilty of splitting up their family.

Over 1 million aduts are incarcerated and many have children. This example is just another attempt to jerk some liquid from people's eyes. Take your kids with you! If you wanted to come here "that" bad you should have done it legally. If this man had he'd be legal in half the time he's been here doing a job someone legal should have had a shot at.

I am happy deportations are going also, but I think pointing guns esp with guns is a little over the top; unless he was a fugetive or something like that.

Please also remember how many families are split up because the illegals coming over here often leave their families--including their children--behind. Why is that different. They are making the wrong choices for their children--not us.

Exactly. And, as a prior poster pointed out, it's no different than what happens to the children of those sent to prison. In fact, deportation is better since the parents can take the kids with them.

But why doesn't the father bring his kids home with him? The splitting of families is entirely the parents' decisions. Most people would not abandon their children in a foreign land when they return to their own.

Yes, this sounds like a custody issue or maybe Maria Mena loves her USA government handouts much more than she loves the father of her children. I have a feeling she doesn't want to give up the food stamps and Medicaid but will give up her husband.

That's what I'm gathering from reading the article..

Expect more stories to come out like this as Amnesty peddlers are using the "Immigration raids seperate families" argument to try to push for the legalization of Illegal Aliens..

Seems to me, that If I were to be deported,I would want to bring my family with me....Unless I knew I would be back in a short time....Which is exactly what is going to happen here.
