OPB News · Federal Agents Working Closer With Local Police On Illegal Immigration

Quote:
This year, the Immigration Customs Enforcement Service is on track to blow past last year’s total for cases prosecuted in the Northwest.

Since October 1st, 124 people have been deported—already an increase over the same period last year. But they’re not doing it alone.

The relationship between immigration enforcement and local law enforcement is inching closer.

Yeah, it really sounds like they are busting their butts down there. I mean, they have brought in a whopping 124 illegals in what, 8 months? Man, at that rate we'll be illegal free like.....never! Sorry to be such a pessimist, but those numbers just seem like a fart in the wind. Sounds like more PR aimed at easing American tensions over the very real problem of illegal immigration. Every once in a while they throw a story out there just to put up the front that they really are "trying" I just don't buy it. I could take ICE to work with me tomorrow and bring in more than 124 illegals in a single day. I am going to have to see some real numbers before I ever acknowledge that they are even actually attempting to deal with this problem. But stories like this, well, they just seem like lip service to me.

Me too! I bet money I could nab 124 in 15 minutes. Give me a day, and I bet I could get 1000 as a quota!
