With "A" being the best and "F" being the worst.

This is really "painting with a broad brush " to me.....The problem I have is with Illegals.....not Hispanics in general. Perhaps if You could be a bit more specific I would be able to respond.

I couldn’t vote, because I distinguish between legal and illegal. I would give a B to legal immigrants, and an F- to illegal aliens.

hispanic governors. hispanic legislators. hispanic judges. hispanic business owners. hispanic CEO's. hispanic teachers. hispanic police officers.

i think the hispanic population has done a good job of incorportating itself into the fabric of society.

did you mean immigrants?

even then i think they have done a good job of assimiliating. historically at least. maybe the newer ones are taking longer, but this issue has been discussed and in CA immigrants assimilate and learn english at a faster rate than previous generations.

some immigrants even chose to LEAVE LA and CA for the south, because they wanted to immerse themselves in US/english culture.

assimilation is constant. its is ever changing. it is not stagnant and it is defined differently.

what do you mean by assimilation anyways?

Well, seeing how Hispanics have been in the SW for a LONG while and have influenced the culture and even language of the SW. So it really does depend on which culture (the culture in CA is different than in NY), which Hispanics, and what time period (assimilation for the 1950s is different than today).

The difference between Mexicans including some Central Americans and other immigrants is that while immigrants from other countries come here with plans to stay for good and raise their families here and many Mexicans only plan to work here for a while to save up enough money to build a home and start a business back in Mexico. This causes are large discrepancy in their "assimilation."

Uhmm, that is interesting, even on this forum, under U.S. standards, people are giving the Hispanic population a passing grade on assimilation.
