Looking to reduce legal immigration is not supporting legal immigration. They cite sustainability issues to limit legal immigration and a reduction on the caps for the people that can immigrate legally.

One representative spoke at the judiciary hearing for UAFA, against gay partners being able to immigrate legally. The video is on the UAFA site.

How do you know that my uncle, a laid-off financial planner, and his brother, a laid-off teacher, don't have degrees?

And? I see no conflict between reducing the numbers to make sure they are not negatively impacting us, and supporting those that do come in. Have to disagree with that.

I've never seen anything mentioned about the gay partners on there, but I admit I don't spend a lot of time on the actual site. I would not support anything limiting gay partners if that is true.

Considering the glut college grads as of late; a degree is no longer the ticket to the good life.

Besides: do you know for a fact what kind of work antireconquista's relatives actually did? They may very well be attorneys, etc.

KarlaT2,

Here is a video of the Judiciary Hearing for UAFA, the bill that gives gays married the same right to sponsor their spouses as straight couples. The speaker is Roy Beck of NumbersUSA. You can create your own opinion of them after listening to the video. There are also other videos from supporter/opposition available.

Video from the Uniting American Families Act (UAFA) Senate hearings | Inside, Looking Out

(NumbersUSA is the 5th video, you can scroll through them on the bottom.)
