News : State Senate OKs police authority to arrest illegal immigrants : Sierra Vista, AZ (http://www.svherald.com/articles/2009/06/13/news/doc4a33537d39ca5906730098.txt - broken link)

The bill is out of the Panel now and has been tentatively approved by the Senate as a whole!

Quote:
PHOENIX Police officers throughout Arizona would have clear authority to arrest illegal immigrants under the terms of legislation given preliminary Senate approval on Friday.

SB 1175 would expand state laws against trespassing to also include anyone not in this country legally.

Separately, the Senate also agreed to make it a felony for any individual to knowingly or recklessly conceal, harbor or shield any illegal immigrant. That crime could land someone in prison for five years.

But the penalty would double if the person was doing the hiding for commercial purposes or financial gain. And the sentence could increase to 20 years if whoever was being hidden was seriously injured or placed in mortal jeopardy.

Once again Arizona is at the forefront of fighting the illegal Mexican infestation invasion. If this bill passes think of those scumbag employers of illegals that you could cut washers off of their *******s.

Maybe this could be discussed in one of these special legislative sessions that he's planning to call.

The Dems in the Legislature filibustered the bills dealing with illegals in the regular session that ended last week.
