So they will need to look at everything from every northbound toll lane and exit.

The trooper may have been driving fast, but the accident was caused by a truck which cut off a dodge, and the dodge swerved to avoid being hit and collided with the guvs Tahoe and sent it across the median into the guardrail. Welcome to Jersey. This is very typical. The driver of the Dodge stayed at the scene. The trucker just continued on.

Years ago, back in the 1960s my mom was hit in the Redlands along US1 by a drunken migrant worker with no insurance - don't know if he was legal or illegal - the car flew up in the air and landed upside down and she crawled out through the broken window. No one was killed, and she could not believe she walked away from that one! If she had been killed, then my brother and I would have been orphaned, since my dad had died just months earlier.

I really hate these arrogant people who have no responsibility. Sure hope they find that truck. Corzine is on a ventilator, has a lot of broken ribs, and broken legs. He must be in agony.
Thank you for that story. Thank God she survived. It is important because unless someone has gone through it- they wouldn't understand the stress. I was afraid to drive for 6 months- you should have seen the car (I was in the right lane-the man was going 60 or more- not sure if he was drunk) they did arrest him. People need to see consequences to stop the behaviour.

I am already registered and getting updates on the NumbersUSA website. I call congress all the time. The problem is that my US Senators (Martinez [R-FL] and Nelson [D-FL]) both SUCK and are sallouts to corporations and special interest groups. Nelson is one of the worst senators in this country. If they had him pinned up against anyone other than Kat Harris, he would have been OUT.

Hey, the NJ governor is probably going to die from the crash. He is not doing well at all. I hope he makes it, but he is hanging on the edge and the peson who hit him is still gone. To Mexico, I would bet. Or maybe not... he/she is probably still hanging out somewhere, no fear of being caught. After all, we have 0 enforcement of immigration laws in the USA.

Who wants to bet on whether he was hit and run by an illegal alien?? I have $5 on it already. I bet this person is most likely an illegal alien, but I can almost bet that the media will try to downplay the fact that he/she is illegally in the USA, as this would greatly embarass Congress trying to push an amnesty. It is absurd. >_<

I'm still curious as to whether there WAS another vehicle involved. Has there been anything updated on this? Have any of the cameras they were checking found anything yet?

I have always hated Bill Nelson. He was responsible for the run up in insurance rates in the 90's. Every time I see him I want to throw up. Yet the dummies in Florida keep re-electing him. No wonder I get frustrated,

The driver was not an illegal alien. He is 20 years old and worked at a NJ casino. He came forward. He had no idea he had caused the accident and is not being charged. They are saying he has a handicap, but from what I have read, they are not saying whether it is a mental or physical handicap.

The bottom line is that Corzine wasn't wearing a seat belt which is the LAW in NJ. The Governor is very lucky to be alive. If he had been in a small car and not an SUV, he probably would not have be alive today.

Yes, as another posted, the Jersey Tpke is a nightmare.

if corporations stopped hiring the "without" papers, things would have been different. But greed has taken over and cheap labor is more than welcomed by certain employers.
just my opinion.

You know, it is an outrage that someone would have to go through something like this. Being in a car accident is bad enought, but even worse is the fact that we, the poeple who are playing by the rules, paying the ton of cash we do for insurance are actually PENALIZED FOR BEING HIT BY AN ILLEGAL ALIEN.

How illogical is that?!? Has America completely lost it's sense?? How can anyone want to reward these people for WILLINGLY breaking the law, stealing people's identity to work, causing car wrecks with no insurance (and usually trying to flee).

That is why I was feeling NAUSEATED when a dumb sell-out like Sen Bill Nelson gets elected to Congress. WE elect these dumb idiots who take payouts from Walmart and Microsoft so they can get cheap labor.

Oh to the comment that the person who caused the accident (name NOT released because otherwise people could find out about the person's status) is not here illegally - HA! Just because he is a casino worker doesn't mean he is here legally. We often find illegal aliens with fake documents working at airports, military bases, nuclear plants and etc.

Terrorists have got to be the dumbest people in the world. How can they not figure out they can probably get a job in any airport in this country with a fake ID and enter the country through Mexico never being detected.

The truck driver in NJ has a mental handicap. He was unaware that he had caused the accident. He has not been charged.

What is his name and legal status.

If he has a handicap, why is he driving???

Man, I cannot wiat to get the guy's name. I will call my friend at ICE and find out if he/she is legal. I bet they are not releasing his name because of that reason.
