If La Raza is so concerned about illegal aliens receiving health insurance, why don’t THEY pay for it? Our taxes are already being squandered on K-12, WIC, welfare, subsidized housing, maternity care, and who knows what else. An even better idea; let them return home and demand free health insurance.

When are the politicians going to wake up?

This is totally absurd!
Did a deeper hole, and bury us all in it.

The politicians are awake, Trust me. Considering that the 2010 mid term elections are coming up, we will see the "status quo" maintained and nothing but lip service will be spewed from the pols and their spokesholes. In other words, nothing will change, for better or worse.
The "Poser in Chief" is having enough trouble with his health care plan as it is...He doesn't need any additional problem added.

Just out of curiosity....If health care must be provided, regardless of immigration status, what "health care " are they missing ? Or is the "necessary paperwork" the real issue here?

They need to run this country like a well tuned business, not a charity to all that feel they need it.
Business 101, get rid of wasted overhead... Illegal immigrants sucking our childrens education needs away from them, yet they pay no taxes towards the public schools. They cost our hospitals and healthcare system, yet they pay no taxes. They steal SS# to get work, which they pay no taxes as they are paid as subcontract labor, without taxes. Which means their employers don't have to have workmans compensation insurance on them, making the playing field even farther from fair. That is just part of the unneeded overhead they suck from America. Then you have Americans having to ask for unemployment benefits, well that is more overhead that could be lessened tremendously by eliminating the illegals sucking the jobs Americans can do.

That is a lot of wasted overhead that can be eliminated, to run the business of Amarica.

Agreed.. La Raza should organize with those that Employ Illegal Aliens as well as Illegal Alien enablers like the ACLU to subsidize Health Insurance for Illegal Aliens.. in Mexico..

Then, the Illegal Aliens from Mexico will be LEGAL at that point.. Problem solved!

As far as I am concerned if these businesses cannot make money legally they should be forced to move to Mexico so that the American tax payers are out of the equation for supporting the business or the illegal labor.

La Raza isn't going to pay for anything. This group actually FOUGHT against having employers required to provide health insurance.

The reason -- many "hispanic" owned businesses don't provide insurance, especially the immigrant hispanics here to make a quick buck. "Hispanic" business owners often use their businesses to bring in family members and neighbors from back home but don't want to have to provide even them health insurance.

And why should they since the Illegals and their anchor children have discovered the loophole that an ER cannot turn them back for anything. Is is so common that it appears there is not even any shame any more in taking something that is not rightfully theirs. Just look the receptionist straight in the eyes and lie.

And now we see that the illegals are now suing American companies and demanding better pay and benefits.
