Quote:
For five years, immigrant day laborer Leo Chamale wired money twice a month from New Jersey to his family in Guatemala. Recently, he stepped up to the money transfer window for a different purpose - to ask that his family send some of his savings back to him.
Quote:
Standing on a street corner a recent morning in Palisades Park, looking for work, Chamale said he is now hoping to earn just enough for a plane ticket home.

"I was forced to ask for money from home during the winter months," he said. "After that, I said to myself, `That's it - I'm heading back to my country.'"

Bye bye.

Have a good time back home where you may actually be capable of doing something to assist your family while not being a criminal.

The sheer desperation of Chamale, et al would be hilarious if it were not so disgusting.

If Chamale were indeed a green card holder (which I doubt); he could return home to Guatemala till things improved here.

That loser probably wishes he had a green card.

See ya! Don't let the door hit your ass on the way out! Too bad most of these illegals will come back when the economy is back in 2011/2012. I think construction won't be as hot for them again when they do come back.

I doubt we will see a huge flood of illegals come 2012 factoring in the stronger Border Patrol presense. Remember that coyotes charging $3-5K a head is a strong indicator of the above phenomenom.

See ya.. Good luck finding a job in Mexico..

I've read that many employers down there will only hire those that have been "loyal to Mexico" and rightfully so...

But, but, but...why would tamale leave when Maobama has promised him an amnesty if he can just hang on. He would be a future Democratic voter, if amnestied, wouldn't he?

If he had a green card and stayed in Guatemala for more than six month out of the year his permanent residency would be considered abandoned and he would have to start the process again.

He is from Guatemala, what does he has to do with Mexican employers in Mexico, hiring Mexican nationals who have been "loyal to Mexico'?

A Majority of Illegal Aliens are from Mexico.. The statement was made to imply that he will not likely find a job in his own country as employers in Mexico are ONLY hiring those true to their country.. The article was about (Illegal) "IMMIGRANTS" not a specific IMMIGRANT..

Also, to the case of Mr.Chamale, Good luck trying to get through the Mexico and crossing their border.. Unlike the U.S., Mexico enforces their Immigration laws..
