SALT LAKE CITY -- Leaders of the Latino community held an emergency meeting Thursday. Many immigrants are afraid of what the new law, formerly Senate Bill 81, means for law enforcement and them during a routine traffic stop.
Now Hispanic community leader Tony Yapias says Utah has it's first case of racial profiling thanks to enforcement of the new law.
I was arrested because I look illegal and forgot my wallet at home. spend 8 hours in jail until my family brought my passport to show that I was born in the USA. I wonder if I look white this would have ever happen to me?
GOOD!!! They should use racial profiling. The majority of the illegals in this country are from south of the border and every damn brown person who can't speak English should be checked out. I would not have to worry since I speak English just fine.

Funny: my stepsister is 'Mexican brown' in appearance yet never seems to be bothered by the police.

I have been Profiled as well.
Annoying but; if I were a cop, I would have done that same thing had the roles been reversed.
