Pretty brazen Illegal Aliens

No Amnesty(path to citizenship) until the loopholes are fixed.

True,

I think I have seen more cases of "I.D. Solicitation" than "I.D. Theft" for people who has family here for which e-verify is useless.

The number of cases of ID theft is still significant as are the associated costs.

"The rule is part of the on-going effort to stop identity theft that hits about 9 million Americans annually. Some 1.5 million Californians had their identity information stolen in 2007. The FTC points out that businesses benefit too because collectively they lose billions of dollars because of of this burgeoning problem"

As I have stated before and which the article touches; verifying by other means like finger printing or retina scan is the long term solution. In the short term if an American is STUPID enough to loan out his ID the no match letters will start and if after he is issued a new Social it continues that STUPID AMERICAN will be talking to a fraud investigator and or dealing with a hefty jail sentence.
