I went to TMC's website to find an email address to let then know exactly how WRONG they are to do this and found this little blurb:
Quote:
NOTE: A story in the Arizona Daily Star completely misrepresented TMC’s use of prepaid packages for some medical services. TMC does NOT market or “sell” citizenship with maternity packages. Birth citizenship is strictly a matter of federal law.
In fact, TMC offers prepaid package plans for at least 13 popular medical services, including a maternity package, and most of the people who use these packages are US citizens living right here in Tucson. These are designed for anyone without insurance who seeks to pay cash in advance, and all clients receive the same amenities. There are NO special packages for separate populations.
Guess they've already been getting some flack for this. Good! If they really think that this WON'T be abused they better think again.
i guess the people have spoken! i am sure that TMC will admit to no such thing! they are getting a ton of negative publicity, especially when they are funded with taxpayer dollars!
Damn those Founding Fathers for writing the Constitution like that. They should've stayed in England.
Well first of all, this provision in the law that gave illegals this Anchor Baby right, was placed in a law back in the late 50's or early 60's. So I think the founding fathers had no idea it was coming, almost 200 years after their death!
However, I pretty sure that if this type of invasion was happening back then with millions coming over the border each year. They probably would have done something about it, rather than look the other way like our currently politicians are doing today.
"In 1866, Senator Jacob Howard clearly spelled out the intent of the 14th Amendment by stating:
"Every person born within the limits of the United States, and subject to their jurisdiction, is by virtue of natural law and national law a citizen of the United States. This will not, of course, include persons born in the United States who are foreigners, aliens, who belong to the families of ambassadors or foreign ministers accredited to the Government of the United States, but will include every other class of persons. It settles the great question of citizenship and removes all doubt as to what persons are or are not citizens of the United States. This has long been a great desideratum in the jurisprudence and legislation of this country."
Isn't that tatamount to the hospital selling citizenship?
