Miami - A group of activists from Miami asked the United Nations to protect the U.S.-born children of undocumented immigrant parents in the face of Washington's delays in undertaking immigration reform.

American Fraternity announced on Wednesday that it senta letter to the U.N. High Commissioner for Human Rights in which it requested that the international body intercede on behalf of thousands of children who "despite being U.S. citizens have lost their civil and human rights."
Latin American Herald Tribune - UN Asked to Protect U.S.-Born Kids of Undocumented Migrants

Go ahead a whine. What influence could the UN have any? It certainly couldn't stop the US when Mexico complained about the border fence construction decision to the UN.

What a coincidence. About the only thing I want out of this country more than the Illegals is the UN...

I don't say the UN should neccessarily get 'out' of the US completely...I'd be happy if they just got out of some of the most prime, valuable, expensive real estate in the world...(the East River shoreline of mid-Manhattan) and set up operations somewhere less expensive....say the High Plains of eastern Montana, or on some of the excess acreage within the Nevada Test Site. Once there, they would be free to string a telephone line, and get to know the neighbors. All I ask is that a group who so OBVIOUSLY disdains the USA and all that it 'stands for', have the decency not to 'trash' us from the center of one of our most important cities.

Youd think THEY would be glad to get out of that 'decadent, capitalist' environment, too.....
