GREENWICH (AP) — Police in Connecticut say a ransom exchange erupted into a melee involving 19 people in Greenwich when relatives wielding baseball bats tried to rescue alleged kidnapping victims.
Quote:
The brawl followed an alert by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement officials to area police of a human smuggling investigation.

Police say relatives from Willimantic told investigators they were trying to recapture three family members who were kidnapped in Texas and brought to Connecticut for a ransom exchange.

I hope that ICE deports the smuggled and time-wasting scum.

Wow -- it's getting weird. Pretty much anyone can come here illegally and do whatever the hell they want.

It is big money here. On the news today, they said that some illegal lady had called police dispatch, and told them that she had been ripped off for $1500, from a coyote, lady, that was suppose to get her brother across the border. That's where the Police said Austin, is a illegals haven, and they need not worry about deportation, because the dispatcher warned the lady, she could be deported.

I think these illegals trying to get out of paying the coyotes after they made an agreement are going to make the human trafficking business that much more dangerous.

They think that when they get over here, they will be provided all kind of free protection, but they're dealing with some of the worst criminal types in the world when they deal with these traffickers. Trying to get out of paying their way over isn't smart at all.

you are wrong in your thinking.

what the illegals dont realize is that the money they paid to get across is really a deposit.

once here the coyotes ask for more money.

i read a piece in the LA times today that described the rescue of about 20 people being held in a drop house in compton. including a 7 and 9 year old set of ecudorian brothers on their way to NY.

they had all paid. but were still held hostage. the only thing these people were trying to get out of was their shakles.

these stories should serve as deterrants to all people thinking of coming here illegally. i think some govt agency, non-profit group, either here or in the rest of america should creat a pamphlet(similar to the border crossing one you guys talk about) that outlines the perils of crossing illegally. show people left to die in the desert, their skin turned to jerky. show the conditions of drop houses, littered with human waste. show the bodys of women tossed aside after being raped. show the serious risks they run.

this should all be a deterrant.

My point is that the people they are willing to deal with to help them illegally get over the border, are often people you should never mess with.

They think they can protest and carry on to get out of their "debt" or indentured status with these guys, they'll likely find themselves in big trouble. Some of these human traffickers are very ruthless and violent, very cutthroat in the literal sense of that word.
