Roswell may soften immigration policy | KRQE News 13 New Mexico

Quote:
ROSWELL, N.M. (KRQE-KBIM) - Roswell police may change a controversial immigration policy which sparked racial tension in the city in 2007 when a pregnant high school student was deported after being ticketed for a parking violation.

The change would mean Roswell police could not contact or detain a person on the sole basis of investigating their immigration status.

Roswell, NM, has a LONG history of dealing with aliens. Some from Mexico, some from other countries, and apparently, some from outside our solar system. The people of Roswell know what they're doing..they've been at this a long time. They'll do fine.

The line needs to be drawn in the sand re: illegal aliens.

If it means that certain 'groups' cop an attitude.........it would be in oder to 'profile' the hell out of same.

Before someone screams 'racism'; when I was younger I used to be stopped quite frequently by the police because I looked like a Hippie. I was pissed at the time but now being older and more mature; I understand why LE profiled people who looked like me since way too many longhairs 30 years were indeed troublemakers.

LOL! My thoughts exactly!

Roswell deals with aliens all the time and welcomes any news story that brings (yet more) attention to their humble place.

Someone needs to sue Roswell, NM. For not enforcing the laws we all are to abide by or pay the consequences.

It's easier to just talk and say "someone needs to...", "someone should...", than to actually do something for what you stand.

Suffice to say: I am starting to get involved politically on cracking down on illegal immigration.

Too; those idiotic illegal 'immigrants' rights' marches back in May 2006 backfired---------big time. Many former fence sitters (including myself) are now angry and want justice---------read that punish those insolent losers to the fullest extent of US law.

I live here in Arizona and the tide of illegals is being rolled back as we speak.
