The Barack Obama administration said Wednesday it will give $5.5 million in federal stimulus money to Arizona police agencies to help fight drug trafficking, human smuggling and illegal immigration into the U.S. from Mexico.
But the Maricopa County sheriff’s department and county attorney’s office won’t see any of the money

Don't worry. Sheriff Joe Arpaio will still be able to use tax payer money to fight the criminal, scum-of-the-earth illegal aliens who are caught violating the laws.
Arpaio cannot be intimidated no matter what the criminal lovers do or say.
That's OK - the Maricopa County Board of Supervisors freed up millions of Dollars for Sheriff Joe's efforts. He doesn't need the stimulus monies anyway.
This is great news! Arpaio will surely still be out deporting people but his efforts will be limited. His money will be scrutinized, the federal government will question whether real life emergencies and crime in general in those communities are dealt with. Even if he arrests people, he does not have the final say. It will be up to Immigration to deport or let go as they did this past week.

So, you support limiting powers of the authorities to pursue illegal criminals?

YES! Any authority should have a limited power or that power ultimately becomes corrupt. That is why there is a chain of command. That is why the Feds have more power than the state, the state more than the county and the county more than the city.

Arpaio already had limited powers in the first place.
The problem is that the pro-illegals and ethnocentricists don't want him to enforce the laws and pursue the illegal criminals.
Fortunately, Arpaio still has immense support considering that he's been re-elected twice and that the Department of Justice can't even do anything about him except for speculating and investating on the basis of more speculations.
Aparently they can do something about it or they would not have excluded him from the monies. Aparently they can or they would not have limited permission to the media. He's doing just fine with the LIMITED power he has.
