We are already paying for medical care for these losers, moochers and deadbeats. How do you think the maternity wards where 70%+ of their births are to uninsured and nonpaying illegals manage to keep their doors open? Your tax dollars at work.
The only problem with the present situation, from the viewpoint of our traitorous gov. and the illegal lovers is that frequently only part of the medical bill is covered under the current setup. This is how the Florida hospital ended up providing over $1 million in unreimbursed care to this Guatemalan illegal who was in a car wreck. The gov. has a vested interest in avoiding the publicity that surrounds cases like this for the simple reason that when the average American learns that he is paying not only part of the astronomical hospital bill, but also that the ingrate family decides to sue, then a number of Americans realize they are getting screwed and become quite angry about it. This does not do much to bolster the gov's case that illegals are only here to do the jobs we are too lazy to do, no human is illegal, family values don't stop at the Rio Grande and, after all, we did steal their land. So they no doubt wish to avoid unpleasant scenarios such as this in the future. One way to do that is to reconfigure the system so that any and all bills run up by illegals are paid by the fed, state and local govs with your taxes. And hope nobody notices.
No matter what the PTB do, the issue of illegal alien's flagrant abuse of our healthcare system may blow up big time in the next few months. Stay tuned.

Many Hospitals have recently gotten stiffed by the Federal programs and no doubt will either be closing or doing things under the radar like dumping patients they know won't pay up. This was a common practice for years that ambulances radio in and get directions to other ERs because the one they are headed to is "full". Wink. Wink.

Did she sneak across the borders illegally to get from country to country and take up residence as an uninvited intruder, or was she traveling on a tourist visa and crossing at legitimate border crossings like the rest of us? There is a difference.

Maybe Europe is where the illegals should go. I doubt any of those countries have 30-40 million illegals and many more trying.

Both of these are in the Bill. Which is correct? It's this sort of thing that makes people argue about what it really means & fearful that things will be interpreted in different ways down the line.
I don't know what an 'affordablity credit' is, but if it says it will not be Federal payments, I suspect that means that covering illegals will be mandated to the States. It's some sort of stealth meaning, I don't believe it means illegals will not be covered, short of an emergency, under any and all other circumstances. It can't be both ways.
