as a marker or indicator of ignorance, or ignorant sounding statements, i like to substitute words in order to find parallels. here i would substitute slave for peon and hispanic for black. how does that sound now? he would most likely revert to the slave mindset so prevalent in black culture.

I distinctly remember this quote from Mr. G.....however, as I recall, it happened a LONG time ago....back as far as the 1980's, or before. But yes, he exists, and did say this stuff (and much like it).
Makes you mad that this stuff is dignified by being spoken by an honored University professor.
Gutierrez has been 'at it' so long that I'm wondering if he's still around. Haven't heard much about him any time recently.
