One thing I don't understand about this country is why American citizens don't get to vote on immigration. It could be that most Americans like it perfectly fine as a mainly European ancestry country, yet without getting to vote, the government lets millions of foreign immigrants move in (along with all the gangs and crime with them).
It doesn't make sense to me. Many people prefer the United States to be a majority European country in population. It strikes me as a lack of respect on the government's part.
we did we voted people into office that passed laws immigration laws. they also took oaths that they would uphold the laws which they made. they didnt.
I don't think that most Americans want to keep this country one of mainly European descent, and frankly, that isn't the case anyway. Most Americans embrace immigrants--we just want them to respect this country and her taxpaying citizens enough to come here legally.

Absolutely! The race/ethnicity of immigrants is irrelevant. I only care that they respect our country by living here legally, and are not being subsidized by taxpayers.

Then you should have a migraine based on the frequency of ethnocentric and reconquista-style posts originating from the DREAMies and other supporters of lawlessness.
Although I don't care what race/ethnicity a legal immigrant is either we have to limit the numbers and have equal numbers from different countries to be fair. This assists in assimilation rather than colonization from too many from one country or ethnic group.
I see nothing wrong with retaining the white majority in this country either along with the traditional culture and language of this country. We have always been a melting pot. What I don't get is no one seems to have a problem with Japan remaining Japanese or China remaining Chinese, Italy remaining Italian in culture but they seem to think that the U.S. shouldn't retain their white European culture as the dominant one. They seem to have a double standard for us. Another good example of this double standard thinking is that Hispanics are the majority in 22 countries on the western hemisphere but many object to our society remaining what it is. They think we are racists for not desiring that our country turn into the 23rd country with a majority Hispanic population. Hypocrites!
