Hispanic rights advocates said the announcement was nothing more than political posturing. "I say this is nothing more than a publicity stunt. And then of course asking the governor to submit to a special session it's nothing more than political posturing as well," said Lydia Guzman of Somos America. Guzman also said it was sad that lawmakers were spending time worrying about immigration when the state is in a financial crisis."We're talking about a Legislature that can't come together to pass a budget. We need to prioritize the time that the Legislature spends in there, in the capital. We have to address things like funding for education, health and human services. I mean there are so many things that need that address rather than anti-immigrant laws," said Guzman.

I got a good chuckle out of that.

She cannot see the trees for the forest in the way!

What do you think that are doing, idiot? Pouring water in a cup with no bottom, is what is now. Patching holes has not worked, It is time to put a new bottom on the cup, or get a new cup.
Looks like they are going to get this passed!!! I want to see the hissy fit Guzman has then!

That is exactly why increased enforcement is needed, Illegals are putting a strain on all of the above. Take the Illegals out of the States and it takes them out of the equation of the above.

This reminds me of a couple knee-deep in debt, yet they keep having babies -- but they canít understand why they are struggling.

Why not round them up and put them to work,Let them build a big jail with a food farm to grow their own food and when they get finished lock them up in the jail. I bet those wanting to work here then would change their minds. They think we have no way of dealing with them but this would. They would know then that when they are caught it wont be an easy ride back by just being deported so they can return 3 weeks later, that they will have to serve some time,,,,,,,,,working lol The women with their babies will just be deported. The men they have to stay.lol

<<spending time worrying about immigration when the state is in a financial crisis.>>

If they were talking about amnesty for illegal aliens, do you think she'd be complaining about wasting time? Would the economy be more important then? I think not.

Yeppers; the hostility is growing against those illegal alien losers here in Arizona

One thing many of the pro illegal apologists do not realize (or admit to) is that Az has a lot of angry ex Californians who left the latter state due in part to the illegal alien menace and are 'drawing a line in the sand' here.
