Something has become apparent in the random Sanctuary Cities across the nation.
As time has passed since the incorporation of Sanctuary Cities, those metroplexes, have become more and more a 2 class area. Middle Class hard working Americans, are being forced into unemployment, or having to take a substantial cut in income, putting them into the impoverished lower class. The upper class gets richer and richer using illegal labor and humbled American blue collar workers. Middle Class is dieing a slow death, with recent acceleration to its end.
America will be another 3rd world Nation, with only 2 classes of income earners, in short order unless we nip it in the bud quickly, aggressively, and relentlessly.

The common denominator of virtually all Sanctuary Cities is either A: they have extremely expensive housing and/or B: have a large (usually Mexican) Hispanic population.

USA has the greatest income inequality among developed nations.
The top 1% pays 27.6% of all federal taxes; the top 10% pays 54.7%. Wealth, like income, is highly concentrated: The richest 10% of the adult population possesses 69.8% of the country's household wealth, the second-highest share among developed nations.The top 1% possesses 33.4% of net wealth
3 million people posseses 33.4% of the wealth of a country populated by 307 million.
They are doing this so we can compete in a global free market with the likes of China, India, Indonesia and the Philippines.
Guess where that is going to get us!!! The writing is on the wall.
Get rid of the employers that hire illegals.
Get rid of free trade! Bring back Tariffs to equal and create American labor
Get rid of foreign owned businesses on American soil.
Get rid of off shore outsourcing of labor and companies.
It is time to become very F'n selfish! Or you will not ever see the USA again.
Seattle, San Francisco, San Diego, Austin and Portland are sactuary cities...these cities are typically seen as some of the best cities to live in the nation.
To be fair, Detroit is a sanctuary city as well.
The reason why the housing is more expensive in these cities (except Detroit) is because they are centers of technology or commerce. Austin is the Silicon Valley of Texas. San Diego is at the heart of Biotech Beach. Portland and Seattle are a part of the patheon of technology centers.
So if the implication is that illegal immigrants causes a spike in housing prices, this simply is not true.
The middle class is shrinking not because of illegal immigrants. Most sociologists agree that IF incomes fall due to illegal immigrants, it really hits the poorest segment of the population...not the middle class (most illegal immigrants are not in the middle, middle class...not competing for the same jobs typically). There are bigger factors such as outsourcing, automation, and simply pricing people out of the middle class (healthcare, tuition, housing prices...these all outpaced wage increases).

Alexandria, VA is a sanctuary city and is turning into a two class city as we speak.

Hit and runs, car chases, home invasions, drug busts, family kidnapping, gang wars...just to name a few of the increased crimes in Austin.
10 years ago I felt safe downtown at night...now I don't even go there.
Most have fled to suburbia north and south of the city. College and government are there but they leave town once their sessions are over.
Austin is all over the magazines as one of the top 10. It's not so good anymore.
Typical responses. No one learns from history, these are the same excuses that people used when members of my family came here from Ireland in 1864. Or Germany in 1900. They didn't speak English, they were criminals, alcoholics, they would take American jobs. America for Americans? I think the Native Americans would love that! But, where would we all go? Back to Germany, England, Korea, Russia, France...

You're just saying that because we are in a recession. The economy will get better and everyone will be ok. The middle class is not dying. We put this on ourselves. This had nothing to do with corporations using illegal labor to get rich. Please. Most companies that use illegal help are small privately own business'. This happened because millions of American took out mortgages on homes they KNEW they couldn't afford. And it happened because the greedy banks gave them the mortgages. Let's not forget that. It's funny how people never want to take responsibility when they mess up. I admire a person who can say, "I messed up. It was my fault. I won't let it happen again". People much rather say. "I didn't do it...it was HIS fault!".
