Sorry guys, I read the article very late at night. I missed that part. I thought he was stopped for not making a proper stop.

Look....let's go easy on the guy. I'm as disgusted with his behavior as you are...being here illegally, driving drunk...probably a real jerk, too. But it's not like he's trying out for 'Citizen of The Year'...or even bank teller, or school-crossing guard. His dream is to be an ATTORNEY, for crying out loud...an ATTORNEY !

It's not like he's going to be a 'pillar of morality'..right? And he certainly seems to be getting a good start, ethics-wise. His character so far seems 'tailor-made' for the job. The law is a 'game', and attorneys know this well.

If he promises to be an attorney(instead of a cab driver, or a janitor, or a fry cook), I say leave him alone. At least we'll know what to expect.

Well what if he was stopped for a simple traffic violation? Where I live rolling a stop can get you tested for DUI.
But so what if all it was for was rolling a stop?

Well, where I come from most illegal immigrants either walk, ride the bus or ride with someone who has a valid license. If one drives without a license and is stopped for as simple as not doing a "3 second stop", their cars get impounded and they get a fine but they are not deported. I have no objection to deport those that are caught drunk driving nor do I have an objection to doing DUI testing. That is part of our local law enforcement's job.

Too cool, the ultimate penalty for DWI!

Just think if the penalty for all Americans was getting shipped to a 3rd world country for the rest of your life, for DWI. Makes you go Hmmm?
