Gov. Deval Patrick released a state-sponsored report on foreign-born residents Tuesday that calls for allowing illegal immigrants to apply for college financial aid, in-state tuition and, eventually, drivers' licenses.

The report, called the New Americans Agenda, was prepared by an executive branch advisory council, an immigrant advocacy group and a state agency, and is meant to better integrate immigrants and refugees into the state's social, economic and civic spheres.

"These anti-immigrant voices have created a poisonous atmosphere around the immigration debate and unfortunately have often overwhelmed legitimate public discussion on flow, status and the best way to incorporate newcomers," they wrote.

"Government should strictly enforce the law, not ignore it with a wink and a nod, or even worse, pass laws that condone illegal behavior," said Brown, who is running for U.S. Senate.

"New Americans"?.....yes.

Of course. I mean, it's SIMPLE....anybody who has a driver's license MUST be an American?..right? It makes a certain amount of sense, if you don't think about it too much....I guess.

All these leaders should be tried for treason and at the least put into prison for life or deported .

To have the nerve to even mention the word 'LAWS ' is beyond belief . These traiors were sworn into office to up hold our laws and protect our borders from enemies foreign and domestic , to protect Americans not criminals who stole into our country . .

They left out the key word "illegal" (presumably on purpose). It's anti-illegal immigrant, not anti-immigrant.

Some states go for the lure of big federal money pouring in. The illegals gladly apply for any kind of federal money they can get and the local leaders see this as a great kind of federal aid. All those tax dollars coming to their city has them swooning.
