Sorry Jan, but the ďAmerican DreamĒ is for legal residents of this country. Illegal aliens have not earned the right to be included. Furthermore, this drunk driver has proven he is unworthy of legalization. Deport him, before he kills someone the next time he decides to drive "under the influence."

Quote:
Local leaders and immigration activists rallied around Rigo Padilla on Friday, hoping to prevent the straight-A student's impending deportation.

Despite a lifetime of academic success, he's facing a Dec. 16 deportation date stemming from a misdemeanor driving under the influence arrest that tipped off federal immigration officials to his undocumented status.

"I have decided to fight because I consider Chicago my home," he said.

Rep. Jan Schakowsky said she filed a bill on the House floor to stop -- or at least stall -- Padilla's deportation.

She called for comprehensive immigration reform, saying "we can't be doing this one by one by one.

"We need to make sure the American dream is a reality for all of us," she said.

If he wants the American Dream then start off by coming here legally. Being a illegal is bad enough and maybe just maybe since he is trying to better himself he might have gotten help to make himself legal. But since he went and did something as stupid as getting a DUI he needs to go back home. If he wants the "American Dream" bad enough he can work to come here legally.

It was his choice to drive drunk but that's just another law he believes he doesn't have to abide by.

<< "we can't be doing this one by one by one. >>

That's fine with me. Do it 200-300 at a time.

Agreed. If we deport one at a time, we will never rid our country. We should deport as many as possible in one fell swoop. Of course, if our laws were enforced, this would be a non-issue.

How often do we retire old school buses? I can use a welder and would volunteer to cage one up A-team style and drive it around to all the Home Depots here and fill it with illegals. I bet others would help me. Some say we can't deport 13 million people (or 15 or 20 million)

I disagree

I disagree
How can they say deporations wouldn't work when no one has tried them in many decades?

We could hire Vicente Fox or Felipe Calderon to organize the deportations, they sure knew how to get them out of their country.

I believe that bodyman5001's comments were both a solution (using school buses to remove illegals) as well as disagreement ('disagree') with the idea that we cannot deport 13-20 million people AKA illegals.

Isnít that the truth! The same pied piper methods they used to expel them, can be used to reclaim them.
