Oklahoma HJR 1003 declares, in part:
“THAT this serve as Notice and Demand to the federal government, as our agent, to cease and desist, effective immediately, mandates that are beyond the scope of these constitutionally delegated powers. THAT all compulsory federal legislation which directs states to comply under threat of civil or criminal penalties or sanctions or requires states to pass legislation or lose federal funding be prohibited or repealed.”

Way to go OK, you tell the FEDs that you are not going to lose Federal funding if the feds find you in non-compliance.

OK, I say its your right to deal with your state as you see fit, that is why I vote that the Federal government niether collect any taxes from you nor pays any tax money to the state of Okalhoma for ever more.

And if Oklahomans which to cross into any other state using the federal Hyway system, they should have to pay a duty of $1000.00 per crossing. If any citizen from the state of Oklahoma wishes to visit a nation park or landmark, it wll cost $5000.00 per person. If a Citizen wants to move to another state it will cost depending on what the state charges. The state will recive one half and the Federal government the other. For instance, Texas will charge any citizen of Oklahoma the sum of one Million dollars to locate to Texas.

I love making laws that have no basis in reality...

I hope this "conservative state" is ready to spend more legal fees in any lawsuits -- Such an action would cause the federal courts to be involved and possibly force Oklahoma to comply.

If I was an Oklahoma taxpayer I would be appalled by the 10 commandments action.

The Obama administration makes up 1/3 of the federal government and none of the judicial system of the federal government. Convert 54, I think you should personally mature and realize that politics is a sober, serious environment and not a "My side is winning, nyah nyah!" games.

Try telling that to us Americans when we were taking down both Imperial Japan and Nazi Germany ca. early 1945------I can safely say that quite a few were cheering since 'victory was in the air'. Just like us here in Arizona watching those insolent illegal alien losers scattering as we speak.

Yes, and I am glad I am not one. I would rather have a state use its money in more responsible ways or have the state save money in case of a financial downturn.

The Americans who were in the United States did feel patriotic fervor (even though many soldiers did not feel this way) - And there are times and places where it is beneficial to express and feel a strong pride in our country.

In many environments a sober and pragmatic approach is the best - I believe the courtroom and the legislative chamber are those environments.
