Illegally entering the United States is not a form of immigration. It is a form of lawbreaking and a violation of this country's immigration laws.
We need to send these foreign lawbreakers back to thier home countries so they can re-integrate back into their own societies.

It is unimportant what other countries encourage or don't encourage. We have done just fine as a monolingual country. If it ain't broke don't fix it.

If one intends to immigrate to another country it helps to be able to speak the language of said nation. Quite simply it is unreasonable to expect the host nation to adapt to you.
That said being bi-lingual has its advantages. I am able to speak passable Thai and some Tagalog. Not to shabby for a farm boy raised in the sticks.
Not many of us feel that being bi-lingual is a bad thing. What most of us take exception to is the notion of it being forced upon us to appease one segment of our population. The same segment which represents the majority of illegals.
It is not unreasonable to expect all prospective immigrants to be able to communicate in English. The language of business in this country. The common language of this country.

Well you are wrong. I am educated and I know many other educated people who feel the way that I do. I never said one shouldn't learn another language if they so choose, just that it mostly isn't necessary in this country. We certainly shouldn't have the language of illegal invaders forced upon us which is just what is happening.

Let us Americans decide of we want a second official language. Face it: the lingua franca of the world is English. It is the language of educated people who wish to communcate with one another-------- not Spanish, French, Chinese, etc.

This doesn't even make sense!
This is YOUR GUYS' preconceived notions. It's you guys' OPINION.
It's like you guys are having a conversation with yourselves.
"Illegals hate us and they laugh at our laws! We let them use our services so they should respect us! They're not respecting us..they're just laughing more! Let's play hardball!!"

Not opinion at all. Countries like Mexico and other third world countries commonly thrive on lawlessness and corruption. It is a learned and accepted way of life by many of their citizens and in particular their poor trying to scratch out a living. Then they bring that attitude up here which is obvious by their violation of our immigration laws.

Are you saying that Illegals have not ignored our laws? Are you saying that ignoring our laws is how they show respect?
You see where I come from when folks ignore certain laws its because they don't value said law as valid.
Sort of like a 35mph speed limit on a back road. Well then some dumb kid runs out there after a ball and whack gets hit by a car doing 60mph. Where as had the car been doing 35 mph most likely would have stopped in time.
It is about respect and lack of respect.
It is about illegals feeling entitled. Why else demand special consideration?
