The problem with allowing any in as refugees is that once here they'll start popping out anchor babies and refuse to leave using the same lame arguments as the illegal criminal Hispanic community. Better to keep them out and assist to whatever extent with rebuilding their island.

if this is the first time, then you need to catch up.

border crossings are down. detentions and aprehensions are down. less people dying in the desert. deportations and identification of illegals is UP. CA is ahead of the game. people and states need to catch up.

This is nothing but propaganda from Napolitano, because border security is pivotal to pushing for amnesty. Without convincing citizens that our borders are secure, they know they will have no support. Remember, we will first secure our borders. Then, we will offer illegal aliens a path to citizenship.

Our borders remain as porous as ever. This it total BS.

Jose Sanchez. Cuban refugee who entered under Carters famed boat lift.
Murdered Helen Demchak. Helen was not a prostitute, drug user or a seedy character. Helen was a mom. She was working a job delivering news papers in the morning to earn extra money to buy Christmas presents for her family.
Sanchez an honest hard working refugee who came here for a better life. He first raped this woman then killed her. He then raped the corpse 1 more time for good measure.
This is why we should never loosen restrictions on immigration. He is an example of why we must raise the bar and our expectations of those we would allow to enter and become legal residents.
What do we owe to Haiti? It is a lawless country disease and crime are a way of life.
How many more Helen Demchak's do we want?
What else need be said. Sanchez was one of many criminals who we granted a better life without regard to who or what he was. No biometrics, no background checks no standards.

The hysteria as you call it is the fact that they continue to come in many numbers even though border enforcement has gotten better and the fact that we still have millions here regardless that some are leaving or getting deported.

We'll stop being "hysteric" when we lose a few million of them and they put the military on the border. Right now it is still like trying to fight a forest fire with a garden hose.

You’re right. I don’t trust the government. They are in bed with the cheap labor industry.
