The US needs to come up with a spin off program that was started in Europe. In Europe the Govts of some Countries paid the Illegals to leave the Country.

What we have is an opportunity to shed workers here illegally by sending them to areas hit by natural disasters, paid of course. The stipulation being after the Country or area is considered rebuilt they either have to return home or live in the Country the agency assigned them to.

Thoughts?

2 thoughts....

We would have to stop making it worth their while to come here in the first place ( or return to) and then their "new home" would have to offer the same benefits that they currently receive here in the U.S.

I have a funny feeling that their new governments would not look on the "newcomers" as leniently as our sellouts...

Yes and also find out who is accountable for the laws NOT BEING ENFORCED and then put those people in jail.

Yes, because we need more people in jail...Obiviously this is the last thing that we need. Also, we all would land in jail since our produce is picked by illegal labor. Thus, we are abetting illegal immigration. Okay a little extreme, but one extreme answer deserves another.

At least your thinking outside the box, and trying to come up with a solution instead of just saying 'deport em all'

Impossible to deport all of them. The conditions in their homelands would have to improve and with all of the corruption they won't leave willingly. This is why we need to come up with solutions that get them to exit voluntarily.

It would be cheaper to pay them to leave than continue their existence here with the hits on social services.

Sorry, but this idea makes so little sense that it could have been thought up by the Maobama administration itself. Don't forget that we have stipulations in our existing illegal immigration laws that say don't break into the US in the first place that are ignored, so why wouldn't any illegal paid to leave the US not break right back into the US anytime that they wanted?
