Let's see how it goes over....It sounds like a reasonable approach to me.

"Amnesty for persons in the country unlawfully exacerbates and magnifies every single problem our immigration system faces, yet advocates for "comprehensive immigration reform" never fail to make amnesty the centerpiece of their plans. This contradiction reveals a different agenda. Any attempt at genuine immigration reform would identify specific problems and propose specific solutions, with each proposal debated on its merits regarding its costs, ramifications and so forth. Instead, the amnesty advocates start with their political agenda and then argue backwards to find justifications for it"
What should be done? The first principle of "legislative reform" ought to be the same as in medicine: First, do no harm.
I couldn't agree more. The focus of "true" immigration reform should be to improve the process for legal immigration, not to reward those who choose to violate our laws. Sadly, the primary focus of CIR ASAP is amnesty for illegal aliens.

The reason the issue will never be approached this way is because the buttmonkeys that supposedly represent us know that the alleged "benefits" of illegal aliens will be far exceeded by the burden placed upon the taxpayers.
Corporate donors pay these elected cowards well in order to maintain their profit margin....
But.....people are becoming increasingly pissed off.....

Ticked or pissed off are no longer the words, I can't even come up with one at this time.

"Don't Tread on Me" comes to mind, though....
I think the people are about ready to "bite the hand" that has been feeding them "Bolshoi" for too many years....
The current crop of politicians can kiss my Red,White, and Blue ass.
