You beat me to it ---- we should start taxing any and all monies going out of this country. Perhaps a 10%? Maybe 20 or more. But this free ride has got to stop.

Left wing my azz. As a conservative I will tell you like it is ---- the reps have been wanting amnesty just as bad as the dems. Are you too young to remember W's favorite lines regarding his 'bestest amigo' Jorje Fox? And that 'family values' extends to the illegals as well?

Whether its about helping out businesses with cheap labor and the promise of a massive voting bloc both parties are the same. They will both happily sell out their constituents for amnesty if we let them. We need to pressure both parties to stop it.

As a conservative I can tell you that it makes no difference what Bush did. I guess you didn't get the memo that said that the demographic of illegal, poorly educated, can't speak English, and wanting to go onto the government's teat is that of a democrat. That's why the hispandering amnesty democratic politicians are kissing latino azz. So currently the republicans are fighting illegal immigration and currently the amnesty democratic politicians are fighting the republicans fighting amnesty.

Republicans fighting amnesty? You mean like John McCain?

Face it - it may feel good to say the dems are for amnesty but luckily your republican rep/senator is against it on the virtue that he/she is republican is a fools dream. They say one thing but do another. I am merely saying I wouldn't trust any politician further than I can throw him, and it bears repeating that no matter what your sen or cong. is one must continually email them/call them and let them know amensty will not be tolerated. If you make the mistake of resting on republican laurels then you will be seeing another amnesty.

This is a stupid thread. Our immigration laws are our laws to enforce. Mexico is not forcing our government to accept illegal immigration, why should the burden of enforcing our laws be shifted to Mexico. We need to enforce our laws and not expect an other country to do so.

No, genius. I am not.

If you had any intelligence, you would be able to read and see what I saying. But expecting intelligence from someone who refers to the President as "Maobama" is impossible.

Should we do it?

I say kick them out but if that doesn't work, let them stay here but invoice the Mexican government in US dollars. That way we keep the cheap labor and they will not be paid for from my tax dollars. This way, they will be good for something.

the USA should have been doingthis ever since mexico opened their big mouth and started saying things that go against our border and in favor of illegal aliens.

Everybody calm down, let's cut down on the personal attacks and focus on the topic at hand. Or is it too much to ask ?
Yac.

What we could do is force mexico to start working to improve on the living conditions in Mexico if they want to continue doing trade with the USA.
We buy more from them than they from us. We can find new trading partners in Asia that would be willing to meet such demands.
Also we can use the aid money we currently give them to offset the cost of deportations and medical expenses.
We just sent how many marines and soldiers to Haiti in a blink of an eye. Putting soldiers on the border would be less difficult still. Seal the border and force Mexico to contend with their problems.

THUMBS WAY UP!

i am a republican-leaning conservative who will gladly get behind this blue dog democrat. it is a darn shame that he had ZERO cosponsors.

here is the track of the bill so far:

what do you bet many of our congressional weasels would like this to die a quick death? time to bombard our representatives on this issue and throw them out if they ignore it! to the OP, you should have this on the political forum as well since it is also about politics.
