Maybe not this year but sometime in the next 3 years.
Only in your dreams. Why would the plantation owners (corporate masters) agree to relinquish their illegal alien cash cow? Surely, even you realize that would not be in their best interest. No, the status quo will continue until the citizens of this country reach a boiling point, and DEMAND the enforcement of our laws. If you know anyone who is waiting for amnesty, tell them not to hold their breath.
I agree as well.............as it is: ever since Brown bagged Chappaquidick Kennedy's seat in (normally) reliable Democratic Massachusetts--------Obama's and Pelosi's party is going 'Oh S**t' IMHO
Frankly; the pendulum of public opinion is swinging against illegal immigration/multiculturalism as a whole. And; the basic restrictions on same will likely remain in place for at least 30-40 years going by the 1920-65 era.
Public opinion seems to sway only after the part of the country of that public has seen a takeover. There's a very patronizing attitude regarding illegals in Americans everywhere, people want to feel sorry for them, pity them, take them in until they are overwhelmed by the sheer numbers that come and the entitlement attitude that becomes apparent soon. And then the language issues when the newcomers make sure that they are given preference in hiring and insist that Spanish must replace English. When it reaches that point, it's very close to being too late.
It's not going to be as easy for Americans to keep our country as we like to think. The sheer numbers, the reproductive rates of the illegals gives them big power in no time and they are still pouring over the southern border. The population of the USA is growing tremendously fast and it's not from an increase of Americans with our stable birth rates. Illegals have many family members still living back home who have every intention of coming here.

Sad but true. The problem is every temp agency here by me and other employers will not hire you unless you speak Spanish too. They will hire the Spanish without speaking English but not the other way around. So its almost already too late.
They know they have this power (popping out babies like cockroaches). I seriously think they are trying to take over the U.S. Our government is aiding them instead of pushing them out and its hurting us. Like i said the big boys being selfish. They have control for now. But its only a matter of time before every American citizen that is anti-illegal immigration blows their fuse and we start getting rid of them ourselves. I wonder if it will reach the point where we have to over-throw the government? Think it will or could happen?
I don't think it's about overthrowing the government but replacing the current set of politicians. The politicans in right now - and from both parties - are in it for the the cheap labor lobby, they are bought out by the corporations and elites who very much love the cheap labor, fully intend to bring wages to rock bottom because it means very big profits.
The housing bubble was a perfect example. The developers brought in truckload after truckload of cheap illegal workers, paid them little, so the profits were very high for the housing developers. They build a huge glut of expensive but cheaply built houses, then the banks had to arrange subprime loans because they had to find a way to get illegals buying those homes, homes they could obviously not afford.
It's a combination of things -- a few elites profit immensely from this, plus the votes of the illegals.
It's time we toss out the politicans that don't work for the American people but for the corporations and the interests of foreign groups here.

The current make-up of the U.S. House of Representatives is 256 Democrats, 178 Republicans and one vacancy. All members of the House will face re-election in 2010.
I think La Raza knows with the high and rising unemployment and the trouble with the housing bubble, that it's going to be a hard sell. Now they're coming out with some argument that says that we need more illegals than ever to rebuild our economy and because the economy is bad, we need amnesty so the illegals can get more government help. Another is that legalized illegals would get unemployment help from the government which would allow them to spend more. And there's the one that says that since the illegals were hardest hit by unemployment when the housing bubble burst, that giving them citizenship will help the economy because then they can take more jobs, better paying jobs. And yet another that claims the only way to patch up the housing bubble that was the Bush good economy is to let the illegals bring in their family members, help them with loans from the government because they'll need to buy and build more houses here.
