A federal crime should mean automatic deportation along with their families. I am waiting for some pro illegal to address this concern if they think they can.......LOL
Precious few pro illegal alien apologists will step forward on that topic because it would mean Federal charges against most 'undocumented immigrants'.

Right now with the economy the way it is and the high jobless rate, it would be hard to justify any kind of temporary work program but a whole lot of illegals originally intended to just work for a while and return home. Many that work temporary and seasonal jobs would just as soon have a legal way to work here a few months and get back home and visit their folks.

Sometimes they stay because they think an amnesty is right around the corner and see it as something they should try to get in on, and sometimes since they're here illegally but the money is great, it's too much trouble going back home -- but deep down they'd prefer going home and spending time there.

Some illegals would go back right now, but they're afraid that the minute they do that, there's going to be some amnesty and then the door will close on them while they're gone. Some have given up waiting and have gone home and are fine with being there, one guy I know of was here 3 years, but homesick living in Houston. The drywall work he did wasn't available, he made some half-hearted attempts to find work in a couple other cities and didn't and went back to Mexico City where he found work right away and now apparently doesn't want to come back to the US. He's back with his family and friends.

The whole thing should be approached differently when and if the economy picks up. If temporay workers are needed because some jobs aren't permanent in nature, then employers should be required to bring people in legally and safely and it can be a good way for some people to get ahead financially but soon to return home. But employers should not use illegals as a way to have the quickest profits with the cheapest labor.

Amenesty had and has no chance of getting to the floor or being passed. No one after the alst vote and outrage wants to repeat that mistake. Mc Cain sadi what few would say;We hear you loud and clear to those who stopped it in its tracks. Now it has caught on to enforce border security in sates along the boirder without the federal government. Kind of we will catch them for you;if you can't.
