Now it’s 10.8 million. In six months it will be 8 million. Then, before the November elections, it will have dropped to 6 million. Oh c’mon, let these “few” illegals have amnesty.

Do they really think we are that stupid?

WASHINGTON (AFP) – The number of illegal immigrants in the United States fell by seven percent last year to 10.8 million, coinciding with the country's financial crisis, a Department of Homeland Security report said Tuesday.

"The number of unauthorized residents declined by 1.0 million between 2007 and 2009, coincident with the US economic downturn," said the report, based on census data and extrapolations from the total foreign population in the country.

Not to mention, they only conduct the census every 10 years. So how did they arrive at these figures for 2009, given that they won’t have the data until 2010? Furthermore, there is no “illegal alien” category.

Immigration counters still lists the numbers of illegals here in the US at 20 million. So one could wonder if the left wing amnesty progressive democrats pushing amnesty have realized that an amnesty for 20 million illegals might be just too much for Americans to stomach without blood shooting out of their eyes. I smell a concerted effort has been made to make it appear that illegal immigration has dropped to a lower, more palatable number prior to the promised push for amnesty this year by the hispandering amnesty progressive democrats.

Most of us in the south can just look around and see that the numbers are growing and not slowing down at all. Maybe they are getting these numbers the same place that got the jobs saved/created numbers (from their as*es)

In all fairness: here in Arizona; the dramatic dropoff in number of those criminals since 2007 I have seen with my own two eyes. Word has it we have 'lost' 40% of 'em.

There are scads of empty apartments here in 'Hispanic' areas; in some cases up to 20-30% as well as lots of empty storefronts---------and, I am not exaggerating

They may be leaving Arizona, but they aren’t leaving the country. They are relocating to sanctuary cities/states, and wherever they can work without being hassled by the “xenophobic” citizens.

I envy you. I look forward to the day when I can say they have left Maryland, and the entire metro DC area.

It was obvious when they left Oklahoma because of HR 1804. But from what I heard, most of them moved to Texas.
I wouldn't doubt that those in Arizona moved to California.

With all the media seriff joe and the anti-immagrant striff shown about Arizona, I doubt many fortune 500 corparation are flocking to AZ.

The case may be closer to AZ is losing talented young folk of every color...
Az may get what it wants...to be an old west Ghost Town.
